Mural for ASU: School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering
This is my biggest mural project to date, and assuming a creative leadership role for a large scale imaginative project with a public institution was no easy feat. Utilizing my creative project management and problem solving skills, I far exceeded their expectations for this project and delivered work that truly dropped jaws.
Task
I was prompted to translate complex biomedical concepts into an immersive, inspirational visual environment that enhances the space and encourages the next generation of biomedical engineering leaders while studying in the new Grad Student Lounge.
The Grueling, Yet Rewarding Process
The execution of this project occurred over about 8 months, and I have so much documentation and footage to sort through and put together!
From the sketching stage, to transferring my sketch to the wall with projection technology, scouting for skilled artist assistants, to finally mixing and applying the paints in a precise way, and then final clean up… A lot happened, to say the least!
